Paul Bigland and his Pro HS2 position

https://paulbigland.wordpress.com/2015/06/20/crazy-anti-hs2-campaigner-of-the-week-no-6/

Paul Bigland one of the few Pro HS2 enthusiasts decides to take a poke at me the Chair of SNAG. I just wish like all those in favour od HS2 that they did not just take things on face value but actually investigated and found out for themselves.
Anyhow Paul seems to think we are just whistling in the breeze and that all that we say is just a load of CRAP! Never once does he suggest that the information he soaks up from HS2 and the Government is in any way untrue or just fabricated. He and his cohorts who deride those impacted by HS2 seem to think that it is wrong to fight for what they see as a project that has no foundation in fact or need. Those who think HS2 is wrong for the UK and has no case will continue to fight to the very end and if we lose then we will fight for the right to be fully compensated for our loss and ensure that mitigation will be available to ensure that future generations will not suffer from the blight of HS2.
Now in regards to Paul's claims about SNAG. The Snag site in 2011 was attacked and we had a denial of service which resulted in the site being down for some time. It was decided that minutes would in future be sent to those on a circulation list and that is what has happened to this day. If any members of SNAG wish to have a copy of the Agenda and Minutes of SNAG meetings these can be obtained from Andrew Bodman at andrew.bodman@waitrose.com
SNAG and ALL the other Groups around the Country will continue to fight and one only has to look at today's Sunday Times.

WHITEHALL is drawing up a hit list of rail projects that could be delayed,
scaled back or axed as concern about the performance of Network Rail reaches crisis point.

The Department for Transport (DfT) is probing the company’s £12bn book of big
"enhancement” projects after soaring costs, poor planning and delays hit schemes such
as electrifying the Great Western line from London to Swansea. Transport secretary
Patrick McLoughlin is set to update parliament on the review before MPs break for the
summer next month, and could choose then to reveal the extent of the cull. Sources said
projects to electrify tracks in the Midlands are most vulnerable to being axed or scaled back.

This just goes to show that what the Government says and the Rail Industry should be taken with more than just a pinch of salt.

To all those who help SNAG in any way may I thank you for ALL your support and that SNAG will continue to represent not only those in South Northants but will continue to work with ALL the other Groups who are fighting both to STOP HS2 and also obtain in the case that we lose, the best Mitigation and Compensation that we possibly can together with our MP's.

Please continue to contact your MP's and write to your Newspapers to highlight the plight of those caught up in this idiotic project that every Poll in the UK has shown the Public DO NOT WANT.

WE FIGHT ON.
