Protest at Northamptonshire County Council Meeting

Northamptonshire County Council will consider HS2 at a meeting on Thursday 17 March and will view presentations.

Those will include some carefully prepared by SNAG and given by experts in different aspects of the proposed high speed railway.

Please join SNAG & other protest groups outside County Hall NN1 1ED, from 9.30 am, to emphasise to councillors entering the meeting the strength of feeling in the county against HS2.

HS2 affects everyone, not just those living near the proposed route.  Despite public budget cuts of £71 million as a result of the economic crisis, Northamptonshire's contribution to HS2 would be £400 million or £1,500 per household.

There would be no stations in the county and no real benefit.

HS2 is a bad deal for Northamptonshire.
